Our Story
EditApes started with a simple frustration: design files that looked great in the marketplace thumbnail but fell apart the moment you actually tried to cut, press, or print them. Layers were merged when they shouldn't be, cut lines had stray nodes that jammed a Cricut mid-project, and "commercial use" licenses were buried in fine print nobody could find after the fact. We set out to build a library where every single file is tested the way our customers actually use it — opened in Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop before it ever gets listed for sale.
We are a small, design-focused team that spends most of our week inside vector software, not marketing meetings. That shows in the catalog: clean, print-ready SVG cut files for shirts, tumblers, and home decor; crisp PNG sublimation graphics built at production resolution; clipart and illustrations with genuine character instead of generic clip-art filler; and hand-picked fonts and lettering sets that actually pair well together. Every design that makes it into the store has gone through a real proof pass — printed, pressed, or cut on the actual materials our customers use every day.
What began as a handful of holiday-themed SVGs has grown into a library spanning seasonal designs, everyday sayings, faith and family themes, and bold graphic sets built specifically for the print-on-demand and small-batch craft business crowd. Along the way we kept hearing the same feedback from Etsy sellers, DTF printers, and home crafters: they wanted a source they could trust to open cleanly on the first try, with licensing they could actually understand.
Our Mission
Our mission is to give makers of every size — from a first-time Cricut owner cutting a birthday shirt to an established POD shop shipping hundreds of orders a week — design files that work exactly as advertised, priced fairly, and licensed in plain English. We believe a great design library should save you time, not cost you an afternoon troubleshooting a broken layer.
We also believe in transparency around licensing. Every listing clearly states whether it includes a Personal, Commercial, or Print-on-Demand license, so you know exactly what you're allowed to do with a file before you ever add it to your cart. No asterisks, no surprise takedown notices six months later. And because everything we sell is delivered digitally, there's no waiting on a truck — your files are ready the moment your payment clears, any day of the week, any time of night.
How We Build the Catalog
Every design goes through the same process before it's listed. First, a concept sketch or reference is chosen around a theme our customers have actually asked for — a holiday, a saying, a seasonal motif. Next, the file is built as clean vector artwork with properly separated, named layers, so cut machines and design software can read it without guesswork. Then comes the proof pass: we open the file in the exact programs our customers use, cut a physical test on vinyl or cardstock, and press a sample onto fabric when the design is meant for apparel. Only after a design survives that full pass does it get listed, priced, and tagged with its license tier.
We repeat this process for every new drop, which is why our catalog grows steadily rather than all at once — we would rather ship fewer files that open cleanly than flood the store with untested artwork.

Our Promise to You
We stand behind every file in the catalog. If a design doesn't open correctly, isn't what the listing described, or something on our end goes wrong with delivery, we will make it right — whether that means fixing the file, resending your link, or issuing a refund. You can read the specifics in our Return & Refund Policy.
We also promise not to bury you in fine print. Licensing terms are written so a first-time buyer can understand them in one read, and our support team answers questions about what a license does and doesn't cover — before you buy, not just after. If you're ever unsure whether a design fits your intended use, email us before checkout and we'll help you pick the right license tier the first time.
Meet the Team
EditApes is run by a small team of designers and illustrators who came up through the print-on-demand and craft-business world ourselves — we've cut vinyl at midnight before a craft fair and pressed transfers for a client order that shipped the next morning. That hands-on background shapes every file we release, because we know firsthand what it feels like when a "ready to use" file turns out not to be.
Community
We build this catalog for a community of makers — Etsy shop owners, DTF printers, Cricut hobbyists, and small-batch apparel businesses — and we take feedback from that community seriously. If there's a design theme, font pairing, or file format you wish we carried, our inbox is always open. Many of the designs currently in our library exist because a customer asked for them first.
Looking Ahead
We're constantly expanding the catalog with new seasonal drops, fresh clipart sets, and typography pairings based on what our customers are actually making. Our goal over the next year is simple: keep every file test-proofed before it's listed, keep licensing in plain English, and keep building the kind of design library we'd want to shop from ourselves.
